Viewing & Sound Experience- The LG Infinia 55LW6500 delivers crystal clear details with depth and realism provided by 3D cinema. Its 3D is crisp on a brilliant LED display of 55 inches with 9,000,000:1 contrast ratio that makes the colors vibrant and the picture more alive. Fast car chase actions and sports can be enjoyed without blurring the picture due to 240Hz refresh rate of Moving Picture Response Time. 8 different types of picture modes and 3 types of color correction modes let you get the desired image result. Its sound quality is quite better than its counterpart HDTV models, with bass and treble controls; furthermore the quality is enhanced by Dolby Digital and Surround Systems.

Input-On the rear left of TV, there is a square area where you’d see all of the ports. There are 2 USB port options and 4HDMI port options, each facing on the sideways with Ethernet, PC video (VGA) as well as audio inputs. The cable/antenna port, & the jack that can be used either as a component video or as a composite AV are faced downwards. The RS232C service port is faced directly towards the outside along with 1 set of conventional composite & component AV input ports.

1. The stand is tipsy as its made of plastic and looks cheap, a common complaint in almost e very LG HDTV.

2. Passive 3D can also cause sickness, nausea and dizziness

3. Speakers lack the capability of True Surround Sound with the speakers located at its back.

4. Placement of ports is poor, once place TV on mount, you will not be able to change cables unless you take down TV

5. Web Browsing without Flash support.

6. High priced for many customers unless you can afford it, or you belong to an advertising agency.

If you want a larger display for lounge then you can also opt for LG 60PV450 60-Inch 1080p Plasma HDTV or LG Infinia 65LW6500 65-Inch Cinema 3D 1080p 120Hz LED-LCD HDTV with an addition of $800 and $500 respectively.
